how is it 170 days??? Gustavo was sworn in the first week of January - that was more like 110 days ago. And you cant have a District Office until you are sworn in.
It started from when he won the primary....
How many people on Gustavo's staff are from the BX?
In case anyone has any questions, the Comm. Director is someone with wealth of experience...www.facebook.com/conchitacruz
Of course! They forgot to open a District office after he won the primary!Clearly you have no idea how a senate office works. First of all, you can't open a district office until you're sworn in and become...well you know...an actual Senator. Why don't you just set this clock from the date he entered the race or better yet start from the date of his birth? And it's the Senate who sets up district offices. I believe the writer of this blog thinks it's just as simple as finding an apartment on Craigslist. But you're probably right - it's just that HE hasn't put enough effort forward. I mean, why would you want an office with desks and computers when you can just have your staff running around, working mobile hours at several facilities throughout the district.Maybe your next blog post can be about why Senator River hasn't done anything about dog poop or pot holes. That's probably something you think a State Senator is responsible for. If you really want to do something for our district, why don't you "watch" some of the issues that are really causing damage to our community - slumlords, obesity, unemployment, etc. instead of trying to find any reason to attach someone who has already been fighting our interests. You should be ashamed.
to: Gloria M.you may be right, that all has to go through Senate but to look, just look, for an office does not need to be approved by the Senate? Or am I mistaken? Work from home? You must be kidding me... so the Senator wants residents to visit his apartment or that of his Communications Director? That is creepy! And don't get me wrong, this is not to attack (not attach) the Senator, who I believe is doing a great job in terms of publicity of issues, which is ok. But again, it's one thing to talk the talk and another to walk the walk! And you know something? I voted him too!
The Bronx News Network reported last week that they had located their office back in December with the "process of approval" beginning in January.
That first line was meant to read "according to."
